DESCRIPTION

The great traditions of the Irish country house have been masterfully preserved at Marlfield House, an elegant Regency style mansion 55 miles south of Dublin and just minutes from the white sandy beaches of the east coast. Mary and Ray Bowe bought the house from the Earls of Courtown in 1977. Together they supervised every detail of its restoration and over the years have filled the graciously proportioned rooms with antiques, period furniture, valuable works of art and sumptuous fabrics. Filled with fresh flowers from the garden and blazing fires the house is the essence of a truly beautiful and particularly romantic Irish Country house.

AMENITIES

There are 13 standard bedrooms at Marlfield and each one is completely different. All are decorated with rich fabrics, antiques, paintings and tapestries and many have four poster beds. In each room you will also find thick robes and towels, lacy white linen, fresh fruit and bottled water, trouser presses, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, luxurious toiletries, direct dial telephone, cd player, satellite television and lots of books. Many have beautiful views over the gardens and grounds.
