DESCRIPTION
One of the many wonderful Galway houses
that sit beside lakes, Killeen House looks
over Lough Corrib; the well-tended garden
leads down past some old ruined walls to
the water’s edge, a ten minute walk.
Being only 4 miles from Galway City Centre
on the N59, which is the main road to Clifden,
Killeen house is the ideal base from which
to explore Connemara, The Burren, The Aran
Islands and Galway City and County.
The House itself is built in the 1840’s,
with each room in the house following a
theme often along English lines – Victorian,
Edwardian, Regency, etc. with the furniture
and furnishings reflecting this.
